I visited Disneyland once before (for a few hours on the way home from a church trip to Mexico). I vaguely remember taking in the sights while riding Indiana Jones, the Matterhorn, and Thunder Mountain. After waiting in line at Splash Mountain for ages, the ride broke down, but we got a fast pass to Space Mountain, which was terrifying. To be fair, I've never been called brave when it comes to roller-coasters 😉 I had a lot of fun, but prior to this trip, Disneyland was never really part of my life.
Molly on the other hand is a Disney pro. Her family goes to the park at least once a year. Just to give you a sense, she doesn't speak Spanish, but you might mistake her for a native speaker when she is telling you how to stay safe on the Matterhorn: Para su seguridad, permanezca sentado con las manos, brazos, pies, y piernas dentro el tren. Y cuida los ninos. Gracias.
I knew early on that taking proper care of Molly would involve lots of trips to the Happiest Place on Earth, but never anticipated just how much fun I would have! There is something special about a place where everyone from grandparents to babies can shed their worries and go on a new adventure every day. The vibrant colors, delicious food, happy noises, fun rides and impeccably clean park are a great escape from a busy world.
Honestly it would take as much time to write about our trip as it took to experience it, so I'm going to go for the photo-blog approach on this one. Enjoy!
Also, if you read this far, we literally saw this UFO when we were walking home on the night of the 23rd. I was pretty much certain that Kim Jong Un was about to wipe us off the face of the planet. Luckily it just sort of crumbled to bits after about a minute of crazy glowing!
Also, the Midway Mania Toy Story ride is amazing.
Bye!
