Ever since I was a kid, it's been impossible to keep me off my bike for too long. I used to ride around the neighborhood for hours looking for good trees to climb, hills to race down, or anything that could be used as a jump.
These days, I mostly enjoy longer rides, exploring local roads until I'm nearly lost. Seems like a great way to get to know a place, and the activity is a welcome change of pace after a long day staring a computer screens. To be honest though, I've exhaustively explored most of the areas around my house, so I was really excited when Molly suggested we pack up the bikes in her Jeep and hit some new trails!

Our first destination? The Marine Drive Bike Trail, a smooth, scenic ride along the Columbia River. It was one of Molly's favorites, and delicious food was waiting for us once we reached the Sextant Bar and Galley.

Seafood dinner was delicious; although, apparently I though that only the beer was worthy of a photograph ;)

Riding home, we celebrated the unbelievable sunset by loudly ringing our bike bells basically the entire way (we got a lot of funny looks, but it was totally worth it!)
