I'll be honest, I was running a bit low on ideas... :P

Molly and I have only been together for a few months, but we've done a lot! Previous dates included hiking, biking, gardening, morel hunting, paddle-boarding, golfing, food-carting, poker-playing, hot-tubbing, bar-crawling, dancing, camping, birthday partying, and video gaming.

We've been to Intramural Volleyball Games, Movies, Plays, Farmer's Markets, Restaurants, Concerts, OMSI, the Zoo, the Beach, Seattle, Kah-Nee-Ta, London, Scotland, and a bunch of other places I can't even remember!

What do you do when you've already crossed so many things off the bucket list??

You go see the oldest apple tree in Washington!

This tree and I go way back... to last March in fact! I was riding my bike south when I ran into the Columbia River, so I turned left and rode until I saw a sign for Fort Vancouver. Creatively named, "The Old Apple Tree" is visible on my way to the fort, surrounded by a fence, and marked by several small placards.

The odd, but memorable monument stuck in my brain, and since Molly is always down for a goofy destination, we decided to check it out!

Luckily there's a lot of cool things to do on the southern edge of Vancouver, so after spending about 30 seconds at the tree, we started wandering around!

Peeking into the old fort
Contemplating the Universe
Sunset over the I-5 Bridge

We capped off the evening with a delicious dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. It's amazing how delicious food is when you've been wandering all evening ;)

I'd say that "The Old Apple Tree" is probably one of the top 400 destinations in Vancouver.

Seafood!
