All week, Molly and I eagerly anticipated a trip downtown Friday after work, but summer was bursting into the scene with a vengeance after a long, rainy spring. As much as I love 90 degree days, it takes a few weeks to adjust to summer's heat! As a result, it didn't take much effort for Molly to convince me to stay closer to home (and indoors!) for our dinner date.

We decided to try a little restaurant nearby that Google described as a "Pioneer-chic bar with creative eats." The description pales in comparison to the incredible atmosphere we entered when we walked through the heavy door separating the restaurant from the outside world.

An oasis.

Inside, we were immediately greeted by live folk music, and a full house. After waiting for a few minutes on a comfortable couch in the greeting area, we took a seat at a long table by the bar...

Their beer is honestly a lot better than London ;)
We ordered their special fries, which were a lot like Poutine, covered in cheese and gravy. I basically cried from happiness when I ate them ;)
For the main course, I ordered the "Macfredo" with bacon, and Molly had a salad

Let us know if you're in Vancouver and want to have some awesome food! We will certainly be back to enjoy the live music on Fridays, delicious food, and good vibes. Just don't tell too many people, cause it's our little secret! ;)
